Changing Face of Marketing.
Marketing is a mandatory evil it’s the only way to create waves in this sea of products and brands.
Consumers are overexposed with information and getting control of how the brands should be
managed. Brand managers are being challenged on day-to-day basis to come up with innovative ideas
to break the clutter and effectively reach their target.
New facets of marketing are developed and incorporated in marketing plans every year. In just couple
of years marketing has evolved from direct response to online, interactive, digital and now mobile
marketing. In countries like Japan consumers are buying tickets, paying via credit card over their
mobile phones. SMS marketing is booming in countries like Korea, Thailand, china, Japan, India etc.
The more channels are emerging the difficult its becoming to convince the target. The more options
in marketing the more difficult it is to decide where to spend the marketing dollars. Today marketing
is just not awareness it should directly lead to sales. Marketing mangers are under tremendous
pressure to generate sales and give positive marketing ROI.
Where are we going with this continuous evolving marketing, we are invading consumers privacy, we
are sending them marketing messages in emails, on cell phones, even when they are in air still they
